Our Community

. . is a varied and friendly group of sailing enthusiasts who, under the auspices of the Pointe au Baril Islander Association (PABIA) conduct weekly regattas throughout the summer months.

Located in the Georgian Bay Archipelago approximately two and a half hours north of Toronto, dinghy sailing has been a part our island lifestyle for over 100yrs.

Originally with sailing canoes, the dinghy fleet has progressed from Ackroyds, and Grews to predominate with the more modern day Laser, Flying Scot, Albacore, and various multi-hulls. Races are run every weekend, and whether you are an experienced skipper, or novice, we welcome you all.
